Why yes, that is a picture of my balding head back in 1987 when I was a graduating Senior at Fredonia. Yes, I am DJing a 72 hour dance party called SuperDance for Muscular Dystrophy. And below you will find the true facts about my gear setup.

And, yes, I am wearing JAMS. Remember those clam-digger shorts? I'm telling you that to draw your attention away from the wide-stripped tuxedo jacket laying on the table at the bottom of the photo, that is also mine.

Look to the left of the jacket and you'll see my "Walk Like An Egyptian" cue card. You should have seen the "Mony Mony" one.

I am sorting through my selected 12" singles for the event. Yes, you do see a box of 45s that survived in various dusty resting places in my abodes until just a few months ago when Steve Aaron, of Neiman Group, stole them for his jukebox. (They're only on loan Steve.)

Notice the three turntables, set up battle style?  I was doing that before hip-hop was even born. I was the only DJ, club or mobile that had three turntables. I built the carrying case specifically so I could bring them with me everywhere. Sadly, they weren't 1200s... just Numarks.

I was also the only DJ with a drum machine and a sampling keyboard. No, not the big one over my turntables. That's actually just a prop; my roommate's. You can't see it in this web-res images, but there aren't any cables running from it. Funny, how no one there ever noticed. :-)  Anyway, the sampling keyboard was the tiny one on the lower shelf of the rack to right of the image. It was a Casio and worked GREAT for vocal drops, applause, sirens, etc.

I was certainly Joey High-Tech.

Finally, I want you to take a look at the upper right-hand corner of the image. See the two girls? Yep, right there, with the one bent over.  What the hell are they doing?  And why didn't I carry a camera around with me then?  Sheeeeeeesh!
